Have you written something you wanted to rewrite?
Have you ever written a scene where you felt that you need to rewrite it to be less 'sexually fueled'?, as in the feelings of sexual desire was so high? I just did that with my story Warrior Princess, but I have not rewritten the scene yet, I'm still debating on rewriting the scene or not.
The scene in question:
“I need to examine his remains,” Canasa said. “Before rot begins to take his body apart.”
“I've prevented that from happening,” Aderyn stated. “I have it under a chill spell to keep the decay from hitting his remains till you and Eskander had the chance to examine him.”

Update to my previous blog.

My dad's friend gave me some advice on how to get a fan base, which turns out I am doing way better than he did when he first started out with doing the media out pour of his book. Just by me going out to do Open Mic night at the coffee shop is producing word of mouth demand of the story. He told me to return to the first chapter after I had gotten it edited by my beta reader and go from there.
He says when you do Open Mic night at any shop that allows free form recitals, take your story chapter with you
A shamus award winner is reading one of my books.
My dad's friend from college is an award winning shamus author. He has written a lot of books and he is currently reading one of my own manuscripts and I have read one of his unpublished manuscripts too as we did it out of respect for what we do - write.
He did say one big thing to me that I am going to pass unto you all is this:
Always write no matter what, write on breaks, write while you are eating, even if it is just notes about your story. Always write.
He's going to tell me if my story is publishable and where I could possibly go with it beyond the normal routes too.
When your characters' names become unloved.
Has anyone got deep into their stories, only to come to despise the name of two of your characters and you decide to rename them both?
I'm now at this point with my story and the two main male characters' names have went from loved to despised.
I am wondering if I am the only one who feels this way about their characters' names later on in the writing process. I don't mean soon after you have started to write the novel but deep into the story, like 150 pages into the story where your characters true personalities start to really come out and the names you loved, now becomes despised as they no longer fit them anymore.
Yes, I do plan on doing
