Welcome to The Joy of Writing.
Where all writing is welcomed.
I am very open minded about what is approved here.
Everything is approved as is the affiliates are approved automatically.
There is no limitations on how many stories or poems you may post here, just keep it reasonable amount. If I have to limit it to ten a day, I will. Just don't over spam us.

The folders are as follows:
Poems: For all poems only.
Fanfiction: For all Fanfiction stories only.
Original stories: For all Original stories only.
Authors survey: For author survey only.

The rules are very simple, they are as follows:
Poems, fanfiction and original stories are accepted in their proper catagory, which are listed.
Content can go up to Mature but not explicit.

That is the moment when ‘you ‘felt the powerful emotion of ‘love’

‘Love’ - is the most beautiful, eternal and unconditional word we know.

As ‘you’ ‘travelled’ through the meandering walk of life
You carried ‘love’ in ‘your’ heart and delicate soul.

You showed ‘life’ that ‘love’ was about these simple things;

Bronapped (an Outsiders fanfic) Part 1Johnny and Dally are alive in this. I can’t write a fanfic without two or my favorite characters!

   “Hey, Soda’s little brother!” Steve calls.
   “You know my name, Steve.” I reply, irritably.
   “Whatever. Do you know where Soda is? He wasn’t at work today.”
   “No I don’t. But if you see him tell him that Darry wants him home by midnight.” Steve rolls his eyes.
   “Whatever, tag-a-long.” Steve turns around and walks out of the house. I flop down on the couch. Then, Two-Bit, and Dally walk in.

Stephano's revenge part 15 *END*I wake up in the backseat of the car. Pewds is standing over me. I give him a confused look.
“Why am I in the car? Let’s go inside. I’m cold.” I try to stand up but fall backwards. Then I remember where we are and what’s happening. I shoot up.
“Felix! Where’s Stephano?!”
“Don’t worry. The others are taking care of the guy. Nobody kidnaps one of my bros and gets away with it!” I jump up.
“We have to help them!”
“Only if you’re feeling better.”

Nothing Shocks me I'm a Scientist“Alright this next test chamber is looking phenomenal and with you here as well as the way you test, we've got all the test subjects we'll ever need.” Sounded one of the scientist loud and clear over the intercom.

At this comment the young adult Pegasus snorted in frustration.  “While that is a complement in its own right, it also means I'll be here forever. Completing theses tests for what you freak shows call “Science.”  Amita walked over to the elevator getting inside heading down to this supposed  “Phenomenal looking test chamber.” with the lift continuing its descent downward only one thing cameNothing Shocks me I'm a Scientist by ~xxReshiramxx
The Outsiders 'what if'    "What?! You're joking right?!" I look at my brothers. Their faces are stone cold serious.
   "How come Soda gets to stay?! Why do I have to leave?!" I cry.
   "Because aunt Sarah doesn't want him. She only wants you." Darry says in a calm yet tense voice. Darry walks out of the room before he starts crying. I can hear his sobs from three rooms over. I look up at Soda. He uses his sleeve to wipe away his tears. He puts on his signature grin and ruffles my bleached hair.
    "Get your stuff, Kiddo." He says before walking out of the room. I begin to shove my clothes into one bag and my books into another. When I'm done, I haul my bags The Outsiders 'what if' by ~croozer99

I was still tired, my mind was now awakened, but I couldn’t do anything to make it go back to sleep. Before I could open my eyes, I processed what was happening. Everything in my room was silent, I could hear the even breathing of my siblings in their beds, and I could hear the words my parents were so cruelly screaming at each other. I hear a pound and my eyes snap open. Instead of darkness, I can see the dust that floats gently in the air, like fireflies, and I notice that the light from the kitchen is streaming in from underneath the door. This morning I was woken early by my parents who seemed glad to be spending the day with me. I still hoped I didn’t make a mistake as we left the room.
I had that dream again last night. Ever since Nadine told me her story about the earthquake I dreamed being there and each time I was either killed or Nadine’s son who was given to this other family. I found it strange but it must have been because it was on my mind a lot and I wished for her to find her little boy.
We sat down at the table together that was just the three of us. The waiter took our orders and brought glasses of water for us.

The curtain closes and the dressing room set is brought out SR. ANNA and DAVID come running into the room.

ANNA
Yes, we did it! We did the show!

DAVID
How do you feel Anna?

ANNA
I feel ten feet tall, like I could do anything! I didn’t think I’d get a standing ovation! I feel like climbing to the top of a mountain!

DAVID
That’s how you should feel Anna. That’s how we’ll feel during every single show.

ANNA
Now I can’t wait for every single show! I hope the day goes by quick tomorrow!

Well we have our contest.
The category is memories.

Your themes are one of the following:
-The betrayer returns
-Forgiveness would be a lie
-“This bench was once ours”

The rules
-2000 word limit (+/-10%)
-Submissions go in the "Current Competitions folder"
-An original story (can already exist)
-Must be submitted by the 20/05/2013
-You can submit up to 2 entries

And MOST important rule of all; any questions or problems then note the group. We're always happy to help :)

Prizes (Updated)
1st place will receive 100 points and a poem by *Lucain24
2nd place will gain 80 points
3rd place will earn 60 points
And 4th place will be given 40 points

Also
1st Place- The piece will earn its place into our esteemed featured folder
2nd and 3rd Place- The pieces will earn their places in our new “Honourable Mentions” folder.
1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will all be featured in a journal entry on the deadline date.
Featurings for 1st and 2nd will also be given by *Lucain24
